This project, Surface Tension, employs analogue processes to reflect on the fragile line between authenticity and reality in product photography. The tactile and material traces left by these systems and techniques even within digital captures, resist the flawless surfaces of modern digital production. Utilising these ideas and processes, the images explore how products might be seen as both commodities and real objects, even while being the subject of an advertising gaze.
