During my internship with Karen Walker, I designed The Soft Edge, a four-look suiting capsule for Autumn/Winter 2025. The collection explores the balance of structure and fluidity - architectural blazers softened by wrap closures, trousers sculpted with volume, and corsetry reimagined through drape and layered transparency. Each look redefines tailoring with contrasts of precision and ease, offering a wardrobe that is versatile, confident, and quietly expressive.
Rooted in Karen Walker’s DNA of offbeat femininity and unexpected detail, The Soft Edge merges sharp silhouettes with soft movement. Drawing on the philosophy of yin and yang, the collection frames tailoring as both armour and expression: garments that command presence while allowing freedom and vulnerability. The tonal palette of black, espresso, pebble, and ivory, reinforces this duality, creating a refined but modern balance between strength and softness.
The capsule is designed for creative professionals who value individuality and modern practicality, offering pieces that shift effortlessly from work to leisure. In this way, The Soft Edge presents a contemporary vision of suiting that is directional yet wearable, timeless yet forward-thinking.
