My final project consists of a range of architectural photography in a study exploring Christchurch’s architecture in the CBD pre- and post-quake. The intended result is to produce a body of work that gives the viewer a variety of subjects from different perspectives, providing the opportunity to decide for themselves whether aspects of the rebuild are positive or negative.

My focus in photographing architecture has been on finding abstraction through different perspectives when looking at shape and form. This project has allowed me to explore this approach while still finding growth in my style and skillset. This body of work is a mixture of digital and 35mm photographs, looking at abstraction as well as producing an accurate representation.

Having a place of study where you have so much support and so many opportunities has changed my approach, and has helped me find the path I want to take.
